Two Factor Authentication is a new feature rolled in by GMAIL team to make your GMAIL account more secure.
You can enable it from the settings link in your GMail account.
As the name suggests, there are two levels of authentication.
- Your regular password
- Security PIN which sent on your mobile device each time you try to log in.
Even if your password is known to a stranger he cannot login to your GMAIL account because the Secure pin is sent on your mobile device which will be in your hand.
